 Welcome to the part of our web page devoted to the men and women who are trained law enforcement professionals. I have led task forces on major cases all over the State of Kansas and have never worked with a finer group of dedicated officers. Below you can read a brief background on all of the officers and they have their work email listed.

 

 Bryan Murphy is the Undersheriff of Allen County KS. Bryan as over 12 years of service to the citizens of Allen County. He served as Undersheriff once before for Sheriff Ron Moore, and over saw the Jail and also helped to initiate the start of the new jail that we operate. Allen County Law Enforcement Officers serve the people of Allen County in a broad range of duties. They provide law enforcement for the entire county, taking investigation reports and doing follow up leads on cases they are assigned to. They work traffic accidents and enforce all traffic laws in the State of Kansas. Deputies patrol all of Allen County which is an area of 505 square miles. They provide 24 hour on duty service to the citizens. Deputies serve as officers of the Allen County District Court and they are tasked with serving process service ranging from Protection from Abuse/Stalking to Civil litigation papers. They also provide public service in the form of community training, and education/awareness.

Master Deputy Roy Smith completed basic KLETC training in 1989. Roy has served as Undersheriff of both Allen County as well as Neosho County Kansas. He currently is in charge of Court Room Security for the Allen County District Court. He also serves as a full time deputy when not detailed to District Court. Roy brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to our department.

Deputy Tim Beckham completed KLETC training in 2002. He began his career in law enforcement in Allen County. Tim serves the citizens as a expert in Concealed Carry training and provides a number of classes. He serves as our departments Range Master and is tasked with ensuring all law enforcment with our department qualify and maintain training. He has also been trained in child interviews that assist the children of our county in telling their story if they have been the victim of a crime.

Deputy Jared Froggatte completed KLETC training in 2003. He started his law enforcement career with the Iola Police Department and then came to our agency. Jerrod brings a great deal of knowledge and insight into problems affecting our rural citizens. He has completed specialized training from Homeland Security concerning terrorism related acts involving the nations food chain.

Deputy Daren Kellerman completed basic training from KLETC in 2001. He started with the Allen County Sheriff's Office and then became the Chief of LaHarpe Kansas. He has now come back full time to Allen County. Daren is the counties DARE officer and the entire county has benefited from the dedication he devotes to the DARE program and the kids he teaches and mentors. Deputy David Ingle graduated from KLETC in 2005. David started with the Iola Police Department and then joined the Allen County Sheriff's Office. He has completed a Homeland Security IED course in New Mexico. David has already established a role with our department in serving the public and dealing with major events.

Deputy Derek McVey graduated from KLETC since 2005. Derek started with the Iola Police Department and is now a Deputy with Allen County. He is actually coming home to our department as he started in Corrections with our department before taking his KLETC basic school. Derek brings a great rapport with not only rural citizens but with the younger citizens of our community.

Deputy Jeremy Troester graduated from KLETC in 2009. He is a recent addition to our team. Jeremy started his law enforcement career in Neosho county dispatching officers out to accidents. We are very eager to welcome him to the community.
